I helped a friend throw an "over the hill" 40th birthday party for her husband. Instead of the traditional 40th party - black, gag gift type shindig I went with a prehistoric man theme.
step three...once the stones had been aged and the edges broken down i split some of the stones all the way through with a hammer. the plate could still rest evenly on the stones as long as i didn't place the pieces too far apart from each other. you can see some of the different chargers on the pictures of the set table.
